"Wherever we want to go, we'll go. That's what a ship is, you know. It's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails; that's what a ship needs but what a ship is what the Black Pearl really is is freedom."
I have no desk. And drawing on a wooden box placed on a chair sucks. But I had to finish this one, because there was so little left to do.
The folds in the figurehead's clothing were really difficult to draw, so I did a little improvising there. But I really like how it turned out. I might even put it on my wall.
Gosh that looks awesome! You did such a great job here, love the shading, and all the details you put up here with the figure and the ship, you did great job!
Why don't you have desk? *tries to makes one and gives*

Pam: Why do you need a plan? If you want to be with someone, you just be with them.
Alex: Don't say that unless you mean it. Because I will turn this world upside down to get back to you.
This is fantastic! And I love that speech Jack gives. It's such a great moment in the movie. c: Anyway. This is really really amazing. The composition is great; the detailing and the rendering of the wood and textures. Excellent!

I hope it's not too corny to say that I love all that blank space. Freedom's great, but sometimes it's not all it's cracked up to be; sometimes you need to fill up the freedom with something more concrete.
I also like the shading! And your improvisation on the figurehead. Less folds makes it look more like a figurehead and less like a... real person stuck to the front of the ship >.<
Plus, what happened to your desk? Ah, you can do without one anyway. Start a new trend! Then you can tell people your work is more... grounded.
Sorry, I don't know what's wrong with me this morning

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant.
